Most of Brown is very thrilled with the place as is. Any Harvardization on its part would be most unfortunate. If anything, Harvard's CUE report tries to make its undergraduate program more similar to Brown's.

Not many cross admits prefer Brown.

Getting Simmons (who is qualified by virtue of a Harvard degree) would make the proposition attractive, however, IMHO.

My only point in responding to you was to note that immaterial of Harvard's standing or pull or what have you is to note that most people who come to Brown are very happy with Brown's academic policies and feel. Altering either would be a giant mistake imo.

On Simmons, I can't imagine she'd leave in the middle of her campaign? Has that ever happened in Higher Ed?

omg worst idea ever. keep brown the way it is!

wth is with your enthusiasm for nycfan amor?

yea....***
and *** is this thread about

We should do something where Harvard's undergrad becomes linked to Brown and Brown gets linked to Harvard's grad...thats a win/win.

Harvard kids get better undergrad and Brown gets better grad.

haha thats funny

how about--marry them, then have a messy divorce where brown gets lots of assets.

:D

ah you mean "civil union" them

fredmurtz -- happens all the time, especially if the offer is from Harvard... I hope she doesn't leave us!!!

Brown looks enough like Harvard already. I say call it "Providence House" or the "Far Quad".

I don't think it happens all the time. Can you name me a few cases of when a sitting president has left a campaign which they initiated?

University of Chicago?
