A Year Worth of Math = two math at one semester?

Ok i have a simple question to ask.

I know many med schools require a year (two semester worth) of math classes. I can take calculus I and stat, you know.

My question is that if I take two math classes in a semester, say I want to finish both calc I and stat at once, is it still counted as taking two semester worth (=year)?

Answers would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Of course.

However, check to make sure that Stats will count as the second math. For some SOMs, it will. I think a few want Cal I and Cal II.

But, Stats is always a good optional class to take as well.

Thank you for the fast reply!

I found out Duke, Brown, and some other great med school require one semester of calc I and the other for stat or biostatistics.

So I guess I will take both Calc I and Stat for 2013 spring semester!

Not all Stat classes are equal.

Avoid taking Stat from non-math (or non-statistics) department. Esp. avoid taking statistics for business majors.
