What is the selection process during the AB Duke Finalist Weekend like?
What format are the interviews? Are there any other activities used to evaluate applicants?
Interviews typically involve two or three interviewers who have read your file- a faculty member and others- possibly alumni, possibly current scholars. There’s a dinner on Thursday night called the “Ideas Conference” where everyone at your table will discuss current events and issues. Other than that, the visit is mostly to introduce you to Duke campus life, and other scholars and finalists. It should be fun!
