AB Duke Scholarship Finalist!

I received an email and letter a few days ago from Duke notifying me of my acceptance into Duke and status as a finalist for this awesome scholarship!
For the finalist weekend, when they say all expenses paid, am I right in assuming that this includes airfare??

Congratulations! No clue about the airfare but in the absence of anything to the contrary I would think it would be on them.

If your email is anything like mine (BN finalist), transportation is a separate matter that they only provide limited support for. “All expenses paid” is about the weekend.

I think we’ll be together. ^_^

What did the e-mail look like@jkp2495? also does anyone know how many merit scholarships total duke gives as well as how many ab scholarships specifically?

^ Here’s an article that has specific numbers for the different scholarships: [Merit scholarship yield on the rise | The Chronicle](http://www.dukechronicle.com/articles/2012/05/17/merit-scholarship-yield-rise)

jkp, within this document for the AB Scholarship, http://sites.duke.edu/finalistweekend2013/files/2013/03/AB-Required-Forms.pdf</a> , it says “Travel expenses will be covered by the Office of Undergraduate Scholars and Fellows, based on the lowest contract fares available to our travel agency from the airport closest to your mailing address.” So yes, “all expense paid” should include airfare

Email the AB coordinators! They’ll be happy to answer your questions.
