This post is in the Law school section as well. Is Harvard Law School an ABA school? meaning do i have to have a LLB to get a JD degree?

Is LLB a postdoctoral degree? I kinda remember looking at this when the 'patent law' bug hit me. What is an ABA? I won't be of any help but I am curious.

i was just told that US doesn't give LLB degrees instead they give LLM (Masters of Law). ABA is American Bar Association which requires that you get a LLM (undergrad) degree. The undergrad i'm pursuing is in Computer Science but i want my masters in both MBA and JD (a dual program). Since i don't have LLM, if Harvard has ABA i won't be able to get my JD degree because i would have to have a LLM.

You don't have to have an LLM to get a JD. All you need is a BA or BS. In fact, the LLM comes AFTER the JD. Somebody is pulling your leg.

^ thank you... i'm relieved now
