but do they literally mean that we have to limit our response within 1000 words for the two personal statements essays "combined"?
I have over 1400!! but I just can't see how I can eliminate it anymore.</p>

<p>They’re obviously not going to stop reading at the 1000th word, but 1400 is well over the limit.</p>
<p>1400 is way over the limit. You need to also respect the fact that they’ve got more than 50000 applications to read. I’d say cut it down…</p>

<p>IDK, but for one you should not be using contractions like 's and 't. They’re informal.</p>
<p>And I’d say ~1050/1075 is the max. I’m sure there is some waffle you can cut out, paraphrase etc.</p>
