What do you think is the best college guidance book? collegeboard, princetonreview or...?

personally ive found the guidebooks pretty weak -- these forums and other websites are way more helpful

I liked having even outdated guidebooks around the house. Sometimes a
simple question occurs to you, they were handy. I don't remember a "best"
one. I enjoyed one that had quotes from students, including the strange
comments in the back of the guide.

^Strange comments is PrincetonReview, I think.

I have, among others, "The Insider's Guide to the Colleges", which is compiled by the Yale Daily News and has tons of student quotes and helpful rating systems.

Yes, I agree that some websites and forums are of most help but I suppose that a handbook is more quick to refer to.

umm read stuff by cal newport..his stuff is like moree towards undergrads but you can apply some of the same stuff to yourself. look him up on google ..there's plenty of great stuff. good luck!

THX a lot!

Yale Daily News: I did have that one and liked it.

We also looked at them at libraries, bookstores and the GC office.

college *******, gives a new perspective

college Prow*ler is pretty good and informative, very funny if nothing else.
