ooooooooooh. so whats ban???

anywayz. PLEASE TELL ME THEY SELL BUBBLE TEA UP THERE........

melo... THEY DO SELL BUBBLE TEA THERE!!! :D :D

omg i LOVEEEE BUBBLE TEA ALSO!! they have one on campus and another place in the downtown area as my sister told me :)

I thought at the time that ichiban meant something along the lines of "number one." I asked Alan (a fellow in HK who's also goign to SU) what he thought it meant, and he thought it meant "really good." I think that was just a random guess though. XD

And... what's bubble tea?!

it's these drinks that has black bubbles in them.. :D
they come in all sorts of flavors.. fruity drinks or tea... even coffee!

lol!!! You mean pearls? Thats what we call the big black tapiocas here on the west coast. (The small clear ones we just call tapioca.) Hahahah bubble teas. Thats so funny!!! Wow there's such different lingo there. Gosh. :o This is so wierd. I never dreamed there'd be another name for tapioca pearls!

lol we call them tapioca/pearls also depends which store you go to but bubble tea is also often used

no we call the little thing at the bottom tapioca. but the drink as a whole we call bubble tea bcuz thats what it actually says on the cup and bcuz the little tapioca balls at the bottom look like bubbles.

and hailey omg im so glad they have a store on campus!!! we HAVE to go.first day!!!

ohhh faleene i re-read your post and i know what you're talking about the clear white ones! the ones i get is like clear jelly-like rectangles i usually get those instead of the pearls when i get the fruity drinks but i usually get my milk with tea which goes super with the pearls. although it's expensive in 'cuse it's worth it!

rectangles?! hmm all asian drinks i've had with rectangular jellies dont taste too good (i'm thinking of one made of grass)...and are diff from milk tea or thai tea with pearls. no wait those rectangles are dark tho. Clear jellies...sounds...not-chinese. makes me think of... thai dessert/drinks. kinda? XD i'm confused.

I lived in Brewster Boland and didn't have any of the problems mentioned. 'Course it was a while ago. :)

Brockway was considered the best dining hall and BB has a great room layout. Just don't try to walk through the ghetto to go to the grocery store. Exit the dorm and head up the hill, (99,000 steps or whatever it was!) That was the worst part about BB, climbing those dang stairs.

woah woah woah. yall talkin bout clear rectangles and ****. now im confused. look. i drink regular bubble tea. fruity little drink, sometimes coffee flavored. fat straw. blck tapioca circles at the bottom.

yes melo i drink those too but the places i go in NYC also have the option of having these clear jelly like tapiocas instead of the black tapioca pearls. :)

interesting. hm. do they have that in syracuse? and how much does it cost? down here i think its like 3-4 dollars.

i'm not sure if they have those i'll ask my sister later. as for the prices.. it's a bit expensive for my sister and i because where we live we can get a pretty decent size cup for like 1.50-2.00 but up there a small is like $3 something.. but my sister told me great stuff about their bubble teas so i guess it's worth it!

are u asian??

yes i am. i'm korean. =]

cool. is faleene asian too?

hmm i'm wondering also.. faleene are you chinese? if you're not i apologize =]

yea what race is everyone. just asking. u guys should know what race i am.

sorry i'm so late in answering. i dunno why but CC stopped sending me updates on this thread (and the others acutally). Yeah i'm 7/16 chinese, 1/16 burmese, 1/16 Cherokee indian, 1/16 english, 1/16 irish, 1/16 french, 4/16 german. I think. I used to know perfectly but i failed to write it down exactly b4 my grandmother died, and when i look back in my records i find occasionally i put 1/8 french and no english, but i dont think that's right...

Basically, I called my self HAPA! (or, for those whi've never heard the term, Eurasian. ;D )
