I've just read a report that is said made by Forbes talking about the job market for graduate students in U.S and it listed the most and least top ten expansion majors. 3 engineering major are listed in the top 10 least majors, including chem Engineering, Industrial engineering and Mechanical engineering. I'm just wondering is that the job market for engineers is such bad?

yes it is for some engineering disciplines.

No, the job market is not bad for engineers. You will be the most desired by employers out of any college graduates. The overall job market for college graduates isn’t great, but engineering is pretty good. I don’t have one friend in engineering that has not found a very good engineering job.

There are definitely some notable contractions in significant parts of industry. Right now, in everything but computer science, it’s definitely an employer’s market in engineering.

True, but that isn’t unique to engineering. It’s a employer market for many other industries as well.

Take forbes with a grain of salt though. Its the same entity that suggests Biochem and BioE are also good careers. Maybe they are, but not with a B.S. degree.
