<p>I'm wishing to apply to PPE in the fall but I was wondering what its academic environment and rigor are like. I was wondering if anyone here is studying PPE.</p>
<p>Also, I'm not very familiar with the UK college admission system. Right now, I'm just looking at PPE. But I found that I can apply to up to 5 colleges, like Common Apps but with restriction. So are there any other colleges that offer integrated courses such as PPE? I'm assuming it's stupid for me to apply to only PPE since I can use the UCAS app for other colleges as well.</p>
<p>PPE is already quite a unique mix. I believe that a few of the top 10 offer it. LSE is the prestigious place to do it after oxford. I think York might do it as well...</p>
<p>The best thing to do is to buy the university guide by Brian Heap. It lists althe possible subjects and the requirements for them. All of them are listed from hardest to get into to to least, which does average out at their respective prestigiousness (it's so a word); it's a must have book if you're going to apply.</p>
<p>Not many people apply for separate courses at each uni...mainly because a uniform personal statement won't really allow it. PPE is effectively one of the hardest courses in the world to get in to. Having straight As is not really even examined. It's ALL about the interview. A friend of the family interviews for PPE at Worcester (I think...might be trinity..) and he doesn't even look at the grades. Make sure you've researched your subject!</p>
<p>The academic environment is one of the most intense and lively in the world yet an interesting personality is expected. Of all my friends who applied for PPE, the ones who got in where the ones who are actually interesting to talk to; people who don't just study like there's no end, but people who take a more active interest in their course to be. </p>
<p>I'm just repeating my impressions, so im not an official source of truth here, but if you do have a question, I'd be happy to ask one of my PPE accepted friends for you. </p>

<p>I'll try to look at Heap's guidebook. So from what I understand by reading articles online, my application is the same for all colleges, which means all the courses I apply to must be similar. Does that mean if I apply to PPE at Oxford, my other choices have to be either philosophy, politics, or economics? That seems pretty restrictive.</p>
