I'm about to be a freshman at college, and I have AP scores that exempt me from the first two years of required English courses at my school, but do not give credit.

I have the four sciences planned out as well as two semesters of calculus, but what about English? If I take an advance composition and some other writing class will I be good to go?

If you don’t have official credit appearing on your college transcript for English/composition, you will need to take 2 semesters of coursework that are deemed “writing intensive” as determined by your college.

Since each college has a different list of what’s considered “writing intensive”, you will need to check your college’s course catalog – or even a better idea – with the health professions advising office at your college to find which courses will fulfill your requirement.
