About SAT Reading

Which strategy do you think is better?

The first is normally most guys would do: reading through the whole passage first before going over all the questions.

The second one is what i'm currently using but not well: skimming the whole passage really fast and get the idea of what the passage is mainly about and then do the questions right away while jumping back and forth between text and quesions.

The third is recommanded by my prep teacher: read the first paragraph carefully and go to the questions right away. After completing the first few questions you read the second paragraph carefully and so on.

I'm a slow reader so it seems hard for me to keep track of time when using the first strategy. Is there any other suggestions?

I use a strategy that some people on CC have told me about:

Before reading a passage, look at the questions and quickly mark the line references in the passage. Proceed to read the passage and when you hit a line reference, go to answer that question.
