Hi, I am applying for west point and I am foreign student living in Cameroon:
in Africa. I have a problem. I'm worried because I have not done my TOEFL test yet and even my SAT, and I would like to know if it can eliminate me.
What should I do??? Thanks for giving me some responses and even solutions.

Well, this is a question you don’t see everyday on this forum. Usually someone is willing to reply with a helpful response. I’m guessing you’ve baffled everyone, including me. If you’re applying to the class of 2015 I’d recommend waiting a few weeks until the flurry of activity if finished with the class of 2014 and then call West Point admissions and get their advice. Best of luck!

Or a foreign student who would attend as a guest of the United States. In this case, he would be ‘nominated’ by his own government. His initial inquiries would be with either is his countries DoD or maybe whatever it’s equivalent is of the State Department. After graduation, he would return to his own country to serve as they see fit. A lot of foreign Admirals and Generals began their careers at either WP or USNA.

The principal academic standard requirement would begin with whatever their country decrees. They would never request an appointment for anyone who they felt might embarrass them in any way. However, the common shortcoming I have seen is physical fitness ability. So, yvesun, if you are successful, my advice is to show up at WP in great physical shape.
