I'm a female applying to USMA for the class of 2017. I've never gone through the application process and don't know anyone else who is applying, so I have no one to ask questions to. if anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. My concerns are...
1. My overall SAT score is a 1330 but the scores break down to 610 Math and 720 CR. I've been told that the 1330 is a good score but I'm worried that the math alone is too low.
2. I took my CFA in early December but never received any word from West Point about whether I passed or not. Would they have notified me if I had failed?
3. I have three nominations, Senator, Congressional, and Presidential. Will these three nominations help out with my math score? Will they improve my chances at all, or is one nomination as good as three?

Thanks for helping me out. I appreciate everything!

Hi there- my DD received a letter when she was qualified medically, physically, and academically. It indicated that she was on the NWL which simply means - you wait. From what I have heard it is entirely possible that some RC’s don’t get letters out. You may want to contact yours to double check. WP has indicated that they will not begin offers until February 28 at the earliest. Good luck!

Sort of. Since Senators and Congressmen only have 5 actual slots at the academies each, you’d have a greater chance of fulfilling a spot so 10 vs. 5 for you, plus Presidential only helps. However, it’s not a “Oh, well since she has 3 noms vs. 1, she must be better” deal.

I just got my BFE in the mail today. I wanted to say thank you to everyone that answered my questions, your help really meant a lot to me. Congrats to those who have made it and good luck to those waiting. Thanks again!

^ Congratulations! If you haven’t been to serviceacademyforums.com, I recommend you check it out, it’s a lot more busier than this area, and you can receive good advice regarding Beast and life at USMA.
