about the CO-OP

I think I read this in a thread somewhere on CC but I cant seem to find it.
I have several questions:

When you go on a co-op, do you have to pay tuition for the semester you leave?

How much money does it take to do a co-op?

Also, if you plan on graduating in four years, up to how many co-ops can you do?

You do not pay tuition while on coop. You do not earn academic credit for coop.

Not sure what you mean. Coop jobs are mostly paid jobs. In some fields (humanities and social science???), unpaid inernships may be available. A general rule is that coop earnings should cover your living expenses while on coop at a minimum.
The four year program includes two six month coop periods.

Thank you for replying.

I was thinking of the transportation, living, and food totals once you are there. But I guess if you are on a paid co-op, it can take care of those things.

Not always, depends on how much you are paid and how much you spend.

You have to pay room and board. I’ve generally been able to pay my own expenses without saving anything on co-op, but I was living off-campus and cooking for myself, which is cheaper than on-campus housing and meal plans. There’s a pretty big range of co-op salaries though, from nothing to $20+ an hour.
