about the noncustodial waiver..

I called the office and they told me that yale had their own noncustodial parent waiver form that we needed to fill out... i searched their entire website but i couldn't find it. does anyone know where it is? and if i didn't send it in yet.. is it going to affect my admissions decision?

Admissions??? No.

Yale admissions and Yale fin. aid are two separate offices; not handing in your non-custodial waiver has no bearing on you getting into the college. It may harm your fin. aid package, though.

Best of luck!

I'm applying for a waiver as well so yeah, no worries , it has no affect on your admissions decision as that is a separate process, just tha tyou will likely get your financial decision later instead of with your admission decision. and their form is sent through the mail. if you called the office they should be sending it then.. that would be my assumption. that's what i did, called and told them i needed to apply for a waiver and they sent it. i suppose you could always call again and more specifically request that it is sent to you b/c it's not online or anything

waiver is a lengthy process. to do mine i had to send about 14 pages of stuff (i sent court documents and divorce papers) And yes, the do send you out a form. Everyone in Yale finaid that i talked to was wonderful and polite and more than willing to help me out. good luck
