Yes! One person in my squad wound up running the A-course about 5 times before they let her finish it...

Although, if you want a guaranteed photo in the BCT yearbook, shave your class number into your hair. You'll get a lot of attention, but it'll be gone after the first day...your hair that is, the attention might last a little longer.

What's this about the myspace groups? Do some people go to USAFA with a reputation already? Sounds kind of funny. What exactly do they do to you on I-day?

And do you really get picked on for being short?

Yes, a few people were known before arriving at BCT. They got a lot of unwanted attention during 2nd BCT...especially on the courses...our "myspace basic" got a special, element training session. Needless to say, the element wasn't the happiest.

I've read on here before (I think UNcynical wrote it) that when you show up for basic, some cadets will be able to tell who you are from CC. Is that true? If it is, I'll probably stick out a mile being a short new basic with curly red hair. Great! :) So much for anonymity.

I've never heard that redhead. I wouldn't worry about it, this place doesn't have any rep compared to myspace. Keeping that in mind, if you get access to a computer on doolie day out and let me know what basic flight you are in, I might be able to sneak yall some goodies... ;)

Just stay out of myspace groups having to do with the Academy until after Basic...unless you're one of those people who appreciates "special training"...hornet guy are you working 2nd beast?

lol, I'm a 4 dig now so no. For everyone inprocessing this coming year, current freshman can't work BCT as cadre our first summer, only BCT prep, aka, filling sandbags.

I'll most likely be in Japan for the 3rd summer period, so I would be giving goodies towards the end there.
