Abundant, Safe and Clean Energy Research at Princeton

Princeton University has been a center of fusion research since 1951.

The Director of the The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) writes that “fusion energy generates zero greenhouse gases. It offers no chance of a catastrophic accident. It can be available to all nations, relying only on the Earth’s oceans. When commercialized, it will transform the world’s energy supply.” If you are not familiar with fusion energy then you should read this op-ed article "How Seawater Can Power the World" in today's NYT. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/11/opinion/11Prager.html

PPPL will host 50 undergraduate students to study plasma physics at the Princeton research facility this summer. If you are interested in physics or interested in solutions to reducing our dependence on fossil fuels visit the PPPL web site.
Princeton undergraduates in science and engineering can apply for internships at PPPL. See: PPST: Undergraduate Internship Program The Princeton University graduate Program in Plasma Physics has educated many of the leading researchers in this field. For more information see: Princeton University Graduate Program in Plasma Physics .

am I reading this wrong? It looks like you need to be a Princeton undergrad to do the summer internship?

The internship for Princeton students can be during the school year or during the summer.

The PPPL summer program attracts science students from universities all over the country. Here is a link to a photo of PPPL summer program students.
Many physics students do not take a course in plasma physics until grad school. The PPPL summer program is open to students from other universities in an effort to show them plasma physics research and interest the best students in studying plasma physics in grad school.
