Juniata College is a fantastically welcoming place. For the most part everyone will smile, wave at each other or just talk to each other whether they are best friends or just people passing by each other. However, we are very academic based. Several students among the population devote more time to studying than to other weekend activities. But we create a very small community to study with. We love having our friends around when doing homework because mental breaks are the best and it's a bit more quality time together after a long day of classes.
Our courses are challenging and we are required to take several "FISHN" credits (or in general terms Gen-eds). These required courses create well rounded students and this allows for transitioning among majors (or as we say Program Of Emphasis) easier because you can create a background within several fields.
