Academic Dean doesn't let me take AP courses... Everyone, give me your advices...

Hi!~
I go to a private school in Conneticut, and I became a junior this september. My Academic Dean does not let me take AP US history. I studied US history and other subjects all summer, but he says "NO." It really ****es off... I don't know what to do. I got B- last year on honors history, but my teacher did not teach anything....

I am thinking about self-studying other subjects such as World History and European History, so my college application looks good (if i get a good score)... What are good subjects to self-study for a person who loves to read a lot? Give me your advices.... Thanks.

A B- last year and the teacher did nothing? Didn't you have a textbook you could read?

Maybe your Ac Dean is trying to do you a favor? A crappy grade in an AP isn't more acceptable to colleges because it's an AP class.

Get your parents to donate tons of money to the school. =P

But you could always self-study it, as you were saying, or abandon the pursuit and self-study English or something.
