I am about to graduate in the upcoming fall semester and I just received my letter of dismissal. I was placed on academic probation my freshman year, but got a high enough GPA my sophomore year to be taken off. I maintained above a 2.0 GPA for the next year and a half. This semester however, I didn’t make satisfactory academic progress towards my degree, which is a BS in Biology. However, I just changed my degree to BA, since its better suits my purpose, and I currently meet the requirements to graduate after my fall semester. Are my chances of appeal high or should I look to be transferring elsewhere? I have also written an appeal letter, but would like to get some advice first.
Can you explain what went wrong, and where you are a student?
Several personal issues led to my not being able to pass two courses out of the 5 I had taken. Right now I’m maintaining a 2.07 GPA despite the failed courses.
