Academic Disqualification

I’m a senior set to graduate within the next quarter or so with a 3.0 GPA. This past quarter, I ended up failing one of my classes, which brought my term GPA to less than 1.5 (2 Cs + 1F). This makes me subject to disqualification regardless of my cumulative GPA.

At the beginning of this past quarter, my grandma (that I was extremely close with) passed away unexpectedly and a large part of the quarter was spent organizing her funeral, going over her will/possession, clearing out her house, etc. My cousin relapsed into using drugs. My sister recently converted to Christianity and declared that her true sibling are those with her in church/following Christ.

I know that a lot of this was just personal circumstances/mental strain but can I petition to continue my education if this large drop in my grades was due to family circumstances? Has anyone else been in a similar situation as this?

First time you’re getting a subject to disqualification they will give you one more chance. But the second time they will kick you out. So be sure to do well from now on. Good luck!
