"academic distinctions or honors"

On the Common App, it asks to "Briefly list any academic distinctions or honors you have received since the 9th grade or international equivalent (e.g., National Merit, Cum Laude Society)."

I'm guessing AP Scholar would be one? What about awards given by the school to those who have a 3.7+ ... should I even bother putting them on? I'm just a little confused on what they asking for - probably because I haven't been awarded in such a fashion. Some examples would be appreciated.

Also, I believe that my perfect attendance award says a lot about my commitment to school. Where is the appropriate place to list this, if any?

I would primarily list State/National honors. AP Scholar is an excellent choice to put down in the list. For an example I put down like National Honor Society, CAPT Scholar, etc, etc. If you wanted to list those school awards and achievements I would place them under additional info. I remember last year you had 3,000 characters or could even upload a resum

Sorry, I don’t think perfect attendance will have any significance. It could indicate that you attend school when you are sick; or have an amazing immune system and never get ill.
