I have heard that Elon is not very challenging when it comes to academics. Is this true?
I pretty much fell in love with the school: it's atmosphere, the people, and all the opportunites it offers! This is the only thing that concerns me. I am thinking about goint to graduate school for law and I want to make sure Elon will prepare me for that. Opinions please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My S is currently a senior at Elon. It may depend on your major. I hear the Engineering and Accounting progams are pretty tough. I must admit he has had very challenging classes…it’s not been an easy four years. Good luck!

When I visited, there was this Elon student (senior I think) who was talking about internship opportunities; apparently she got a full ride to law school. She had to go out and intern/research in Washington DC though. The academic rigor at any school really depends on your major and personal strengths. Plus, college level work at any college/university is a notch up from high school; you won’t have to worry about being challenged.

I have friends who have been communications majors and not honors/fellows, and they have said that it’s rigorous, even moreso in recent semesters.
