Academic Suspension and transferring

Hi all!
I’m currently a student at NVCC with gpa 3.2, about to get my AS in Computer Science this fall.
I was suspended at VCU after Fall 2011 semester due to poor gpa due to depression.
I’ve started to go to NVCC the following semester, in which I still didn’t get to recover from stresses.
I’m majoring in computer science, and started to recover (slowly) and finally at better status as of now.
I’ve been trying hard, but academically I’ve only started to get good grades (3.5+ gpa) starting last fall.

I know that I’m not qualified for guaranteed admission, so I’d have to do the regular transfer
Also I did not transfer any of the credits I earned from VCU to NVCC.
I am confused and unsure of what to do for the transfer process as having fails in academics in the past.

Should I get the transcript from VCU (even though I did not transfer any credits from VCU to NOVA) and turn it in with transfer application?
Also, is there any chance of getting into mason with poor backgrounds such as academic suspension and with current standing at NOVA with 3.2 (I regret taking the last semester at VCU)?

I think you should be fine with 3.2 GPA. Just explain it to them that you have a tough time in life and now you’re back on the track. The prove is that you got 3.2 GPA at NOVA. You still have to send your VCU transcript to GMU though, but trust me they will not make it a big deal unless your current GPA is like 2.3 or something. You’ll be fine!
