<p>I don't have much a GPA, but I feel my portfolio can stand out very well I have average SAT scores. I'm hoping my portfolio could ride me out heavily with an early application to NYU. </p>
<p>I want to apply to USC, Chapman, Cal Arts. Do schools heavily judge a good portfolio over academics?</p>
<p>CalArts main criterion is artistic merit. Other important considerations are school records, recommendations and artist’s statement.</p>
<p>I got early into NYU film with very average SAT scores and GPA. I’m sure my portfolio is what got me in so I definitely encourage you to try ED. At least for NYU, I didn’t apply to any other.</p>
