It would be interesting to see how they break down the stats of ED applicants and RD applicants (i.e. GPA, test scores, class rank, etc.). Their website only lists averages of an entire incoming class.

BTW - anyone want to help me continue this thread for another 200 posts so I can become a senior member?

I think you can qualify as a senior member if you have a certain amount of senior moments...I am well on my way.

good one anothermom!

I strongly encourage everyone who is looking at Muhlenberg as a safety to go and visit...it was my safety, and now I am definitely applying ED. :)

good luck lifeisabigidea

There's just something about the place that is so appealing when people visit it.

When my D and I visited in the summer she also fell in love with the school. She is only a junior in hs this year but says she feels so much better just knowing that there is a non audition school out there that she loves and is a match for her academic profile.

As a mom I also thought it was a great school and would feel comfortable sending my D there from California!

last year, as DD was looking at schools, we had the good fortune of visiting Muhlenberg in Nov when she did her optional auditions. It ended up being love at first sight for both D and parents. She came home (to Seattle) and switched her application from RD to ED, submitted it in early Dec and was accepted on Dec 31. We dropped her off in August and so far it has lived up to all her expectations. Even though it is a long way away it from the west coast and her boyfriend, she continues to to think it was a great choice for her. So what started as her safety became her first choice! Good luck as you go through the process!

If you apply early but RD, when should you expect to hear from the school? With such a late ED does that mean the rest of the apps aren't reviewed until early spring?

All RD applicants hear at the same time - early Spring. My daughter had all of her apps materials in by September 30 and she heard in the Spring!
