Calling all prep school appointees. Not to may threads on this site are targeted towards us. I don’t know the exact countdown until july 11 but I sure am excited. Feel free to leave any comments, fears, or whatever you feel like talking about.

I haven't heard of any other incoming prep schoolers besides you and me!

Yo where they at! ;]

Have you gotten your incoming cadet candidate info kit yet?
I haven't.

-CadCandMateus - New York

No, I haven't gotten mine yet. I'm still checking the box everyday. Do you think the problem is that some prepsters are ashamed?

homegurl_042807- South Carolina

I hope they aren't ashamed.

There really is nothing to be ashamed about.

I rather go to the Prep School and get as prepared as possible physically, mentally, and academically before going into the Academy.

I believe last year every class President at the Academy was a former prep schooler.

Oh and the prep school is no easy place to get into.

With that said, I never congratulated you on your appointment to the Academy Prep School. Congratulations =]

Thanks! Same to you.

Thanks ;]

100 days until reporting time!

Congratulations to both of you!

Thanks stealth!

Looks like we have joined the double digits club!

Sorry, I'm not very informed about the Prep School. Are all of you guys going to be going through basic this summer with the Class of 2011, and then again with Class of 2012, or does the Academy have a different program?

We will undergo Prep School BMT(basic military training) which is shorter than your BCT.

It just focuses on learning customs and courtesies, how to dress, march, wear the uniform, alot of physical training, etc.(or atleast thats what I got online, ill provide more info when i go through it haha) (kind of like BCT 1 i guess)

After the prep school year, we then head off to the Academy to undergo BCT with the class of 2012.

So I guess you will be part of my upperclassmen redhead ;]

Oh my gosh, that's hilarious to think about. I don't know how they expect me to yell at people someday without laughing. :) Hopefully they'll train me how. And I don't know if I've said this already, but congratulations, Mateus. It's been a long haul, but you're going to be a cadet. :) Congratulations to you, too, homegurl!

oh, you'll ahve to learn on your own about not laughing when yelling if you want. we had one cadre who made us laugh every time she yelled, which obviously got all of us yelled at by other cadre. congrats to CadCandMateus and homegurl_042807.

Quick story -- when my son is home he plays a little game with his younger sister (16 yrs old). She stands at attention and he grills her, just like a real TI. It's absolutely hysterical. When she laughs, he goes crazy and we all crack up -- BTW, he's scary as hell! I feel sorry for 2012, which will be the class that he'll be training as a 2-dig.

Bring it on! :(

I can see it now, CC pushups.
