Academy Twins

I just read a rather unusual post on the Webguy forum. It was from a mom whose D is in Aggressors. Her D is an identical twin, and her roommate is also an identical twin. Their siblings are in colleges elsewhere.
That got me to thinking (always a dangerous thing!), just how many sets of twins are represented at USAFA? Since Buckaroo is a twin that makes three in Aggressors, and then there are the “fencer” twins. Do y’all know of other twins in the class of 2012?

What would be sweet, is if twins both went to the academy. Very hard to do, but it would be pretty awesome.

In Twin1's squadron (Cobras), there is female twinA. Her twin sister is in my Twin2's squadron (Jaguars)! So, in those two squadrons, there are two sets of twins with both at the Academy.

I'm an identical twin, but my bro goes to college elsewhere. In my freshman squad there were 5 sets of twins, only one pair in which both went here.

It is more common then you would think. Potter has spoken about a set of identicals in her class 2011. I can imagine it give them (Cadre) fits at times, but they do separate them so maybe not.

In my basic flight, there were 3 people who had twins, two of whom were identical, the other fraternal.

The two identical twins had their twins in other flights, all in 2011.

In my CST element, there was also someone with an identical twin (someone else), and there were 2 sets of identical twins in my English class last semester...

Our son Jeremy, Aggressors Flight B, is a fraternal twin. His brother Jonathan, is attending University of Missouri at Columbia (Mizzou). He decided he did not want any part of the Academy even though he was the first one of the twins, to consider going to a service Academy. He wanted Annapolis (dirty word?) but decided against it.

At least he had sense enough to decide against Annapolis, jk!

Buckaroo's sister is really her polar opposite. When the Marine recruiter call to speak to her I asked him if he had ever met her. She and the military would not be a good fit. I think both girls wanted to discover "who they were" without the sister around. When they were in 6th grade they went to a two week Girl scout camp. There only request was to please NOT be in the same group. So they were ready to be apart, but I'm sure they miss each other terribly.

Any record of triplets at the AFA?

Wonder if there is any story of triplets...1 at the AFA, 1 at WP and 1 a NA. That would be fun. I'm sure there are records of a twin 1 at WP and one at NA.

There's one family with four girls here. There's a set of twins in my class, another girl who's a firstie now, and one who's already graduated.

At orientation, we met a guy with 3 sons and a daughter. He had one son each at USMA, USNA, and USAFA, and his D had just been appointed at AFA. Pretty cool (though no twins or trips).

Actually, now that I think of it, there is a 2010'er here who was Base Ops cadre for CST. He has triplet brothers/sisters who are all in the classes of 2012 at USAFA, USNA, and USMA.

I swear I'm not making this up...

THAT. IS. CRAZY!

Wow, the parents must be so proud! Kinda funny that they would all choose different branches though. Bet there'll be some playful "(Insert service branch) can kick (insert service branch)'s a**!"
