Accelerated Masters Program?

Hello there, I'm an incoming freshmen at NYU CAS and I already know I want to be an Economics and Math major, but I might want to take advantage of their dual BA/MA program and go for my masters in math in 5 years.

My question is: does a masters degree from an accelerated undergrad program look less prestigious/appealing to employers than a regular four year program?

Also, would it put me at a dosatvantage for getting into grad school for a PhD? I am planning on going for a doctorate in economics, not math, if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any help in advance!

If your goal is to Ph.D. (and I would urge you to see how you like the study of economics at the university level before saying that you want to spend the rest of your life producing economic research), you should skip the combined program. Instead do as much advanced work in the two majors as possible, write an honors thesis, and then go directly into a doctoral program.
