Acceptance Chance?

Hi, so I’m applying to a few major computer science schools this year, like Purdue, Berkeley, UIUC, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech. This only downfall is I have a really low GPA (weighted 3.7, uw 3.2). However, since I was young, I’ve been working on a website that earns me almost $100,000 a year. The thing is, i’m hoping to balance out my terrible grades with an amazing extracurricular. Would this work? My ACT is a 34 btw. Also, do I even have any chance for the Ivy Leagues?

For UC Berkeley, EC’s do not overcome bad GPA. Are you a California resident? If not, UCB will cost you $65K/year to attend.

Average UC GPA (10-11th grades) with a cap of 8 semesters of Honors points for UC approved Honors, AP or IB classes taken 10-11th grades was 4.23 which is around a 3.8 uW GPA. Your test scores are in range but with a weighted GPA of 3.7, the admit rate was 1.8%.

Do you have a compelling reason for you lower than average GPA?

Yes, but I won’t include them in my application, as I wish for the information to remain private. So, no help there. Welp :frowning:
