acceptance decision

Hi i applied to NYU on the first and I was just wondering when should I expect to hear back? Is it rolling or will i find out around april 1st?

i searched back through threads, and most people found out mid-late march.

alright thanks brotha

Anxiety for RD is longer compared to ED. The closer it gets to the mailing of acceptance/rejection letters, your stress level gets higher. I think I spent two weeks of sleepless nights and depression and they suddenly disappeared with I got the big, fat, white and purple envelope in the mail.. haha. It's all worth it!

expect it around late March to April.

So, then NYU DOES do rolling admissions? Because if the deadline is April 1st, wouldn't they let everyone know like a month aferwards? How is it that they would do it as early as mid-March?

they say you'll find out by april 1st, not ON april first.

Rolling admissions would mean that you'll find out if you've gotten in or not as soon as they read your application, which they definitely don't do. They send out all the letters at once.

I believe the logic behind getting them out a few weeks early (and don't quote me here) is that you might find out that you've gotten into NYU first, and because you're excited, start researching it, etc. and decide that you really want to go there before other colleges have gotten back to you.

I could be totally wrong there. . .

no rolling admissions.

Is there a reason why your thread is named acceptance decision and not just admissions decision or something?

Why does it matter... He can name his threads however he likes

Some people might think he already got accepted RD by NYU ;)

LOL.... By January 19th?

because by naming it acceptance decision I get a lot more views and thus more replies.
