I have received an acceptace letter from Ohio State University.
And they just sent me a payment voucher for acceptace fee of $100.
They require me to make the payment immediately.
However, OSU is my least choice and I still have about 2-3 schools that I think I will have chance and about 4 schools that are kind of reach for me.
And I don't think I would know any decisions until April.
Should I pay the fee?
What happens if I pay the fee and eventually attend another school that is a better choice for me?

Whats an acceptance fee? lols sounds kind of funny. Do you mean like a downpayment on your position in the University. I think the best thing you should do is to call OSU and talk with someone there and politely ask if you could have an extension due to the fact that you are waiting on other schools. I dont think that'd be a negative thing because they have to understand that lots of students apply to multiple places. Don't tell them that they are your last choice, but rather say like...you are waiting for more options because you are in a financial situation (ya know what i mean?). Thats probably the best thing you can do, I'm sure they'll work something out.

That is why you have to coordinate dates before you apply. If some schools want an answer before you get you decisions from your first choice you are basically wasting your time. Why are you applying to Harvard and Ohio State? This is a huge gap... Something's wrong in the logic here.

Just ask for an extension due to financial constraints without mentioning other schools to which you applied. Simple.

Oh you are tricky!
