I wanted to create this thread to discuss with others who have been accepted into Columbia GS. In essence, I’d like to glean some insight from others who are currently in the process of accepting or declining their admissions.
I’m unsure; however, I know on the website it says that the regular notification date is May 1st, so I guess unless you receive an email noting your rejection, I would probably wait until then to be sure. On the other hand, other schools’ admission deposits are usually due on that date, so it can be tricky to wait it out. But I hope you will be able to know by then!
@PackersLA Agree with above. Try to not make any negative assumptions. I was stressing hard because my application portal did not change like it did for others, and assumed that I had been rejected. When official decisions were released I was accepted. You have no way of knowing anything until you actually receive something concrete.
I received my acceptance letter yesterday. I got an email informing me that my application status had been updated. I hope you all found out like I did, or will soon. Good luck, everyone!
@pixelated no you should not be for regular. As long as you did everything before 20th of March you are good to go.
It is rolling so random acceptance times. My admissions manager confirmed that for me.
Thank you guys for your responses! Has anyone received their financial aid packages yet? Do I have to accept my admissions decision before they can create my package? I was planning on waiting to see what they would offer before making my decision, but I notice on the portal that in order to complete the Enrollment Form, the admissions office has to be informed of my plans to transfer. Any insight, advice, etc. would greatly appreciated! Again, thank you guys for keeping up with this post!
Nevermind! I found out on the website that I can send in my Reply Form after receiving my financial aid. I hope that’s helpful for someone else who is curious!
