<p>Stony Brook is my top choice. Please chance me on my grades and sat</p>

<p>My gpa weighted is about 3.64 freshman and sophomore combined.
I took one AP- World History during sophomore year and got a 4 on it. </p>

<p>Currently Junior Year:
My gpa is about 3.9 weighted. Im taking 2 APs- Physics B and Statistics
Hopefully Im going to get my gpa by the end of the year to a 4.2.</p>

<p>Based on my grades- they are on an upward trend. Freshman- 3.4 gpa
Sophomore 3.7ish</p>

<p>I am going to take the SAT in march of 2010 but based on my practice tests I only have a 1790ish. 630M, 550CR, 610W</p>

<p>I do a few clubs in school- staff for school math paper- mad about mu and eureka
science olympiad
math league, ASMA- math competitions</p>

<p>I in the school Band since 4th grade and did marching band junior year
College Spanish taken through SUNY ALBANY
Planning to take AP Biology, Forensics Science, AP Calc AB, and all the other basic subjects senior year
Volunteer since 9th grade- At Nyack hospital for more than 50 hrs
- 2 nursing homes- combined 65 hrs
- Altar Boy in my church- since 7th grade- serve the Lord.
- Volunteer and former student at Hudson Valley Malayalee Association Vidhya Jyothi Malayalam School- 2 hrs every Friday night
- Volunteer for Nanuet Ambulance Corps
- Sunday School Teacher- started my junior year of hs
- Hudson Valley Malayalee Association Youth Representative-2009-2010</p>

<p>Based on my grades, SAT, and extracurricular activities what is my chance of getting into Stony brook?</p>

<p>What is your unweighted GPA? I think you’ll need to bring your SATs and grades up.</p>

<p>Work on getting your grades up. The upward trend and AP classes are good. Continue to practice for the SAT. Good luck!

<p>Stony Brook isn’t that difficult to get into, your grades are fine as long as your unweighted isn’t below a 3.0. Just get your SAT up a bit.</p>

<p>Erin’ dad- My weighted gpa for grades 8-10 is about 3.5. During 8th grade I took 3 high school courses while in middle school.</p>

<p>I just have a question- Do the colleges count the senior grades into the gpa or is the gpa set for only freshman through junior year?</p>
