Acceptance letter 2 days before commitment day

I received my acceptance letter from Hunter College on April 29th and it says I have to enroll and send in my deposit by May 2nd. Will my deposit be able to make it to the college in time for the deadline (which I was only given 2 days)? I live in Queens, NY so I’m in the boroughs, but it is also the weekend so I’m not sure if mail is being sent during the weekend.

Also, why was I not given more time considering I got the letter 2 days before the commitment date? They should’ve given extra time or something.

Have you looked on the bursar’s web site? You might be able to deposit by e check or credit card. If not mail the payment from a post office so there’s a time stamp on it. edit: It looks like you have to mail a check:

If you want to go there don’t question why your acceptance is so late. Just be happy. Good luck.
