This may be a stupid question, but for EA, is the acceptance letter in a thin envelope or a thick one?

i want to know also!!

Apparently it is very thin, meaning the acceptance and rejection are comparable in size. So there really is no way of determining acceptance versus deferral (EA) until you open the envelope.

thin - a simple letter congratulating you

Its a standard envelope with three pieces of paper in it. As opposed to either one or two for a deferral.

i better not accidentally rip this letter in half like i did when i was opening my tulane one lol

Thin. And don't make too much of the fact that there's three sheets of paper vs. one. When I got my EA acceptance letter, at first I got really really sad because I thought it wasn't thick enough. You really have to open it to find out.

Do you realize how crazy we all are, wondering if the envelope is thick or thin, whether it has one, two, or three pieces of paper in it? I can't believe I have been reduced to this... and their going to charge me 50K/year for the privilege!!!!!!!!! Have a nice Thanksgiving and try to forget about this for a little bit.

i wonder what color the papers are. I think you can see through the envelope... ahh. Three diff. papers each a different color, i believe, means acceptance.

Or you could just open the letter and read it..

point well taken, waveswatcher. enjoy the rest of your break

at least we are willing to admit our somewhat embarrassing anticipation. everyone else is wondering the exact same thing :)

happy thanksgiving break!

I'm wondering if I could drive up there to find out before the fifteenth.

""I'm wondering if I could drive up there to find out before the fifteenth.""

Bad idea. Welcome to adulthood. Learn to embrace the exquisite pain of delayed gratification. Wait for the letter.

last year the envelope was standard sized, but you could tell that there were quite a few papers in it... The first paper that fell out for me was the one you send back saying you would be attending, so it was a bit anticlimactic, but exciting nonetheless.

For all its worth, I have received two acceptance letters, (from safetys, not the ones I really want) and one was thick with all kinds of info about housing and FA and junk, and the other was a beautiful piece of watermarked crane saying welcome to their university. Now how's that for wondering what you'll get from GU?

WAIT. Is there a way to find out electronically or no?

^No, only snail-mail

So how can they guarantee that everyone will get their letter on the 15th?

typically you'll see people that live closer to Gtown posting about their decisions, while people that live further away won't have their decisions until the next day or two.
