When you Are Accepted Into Ucla, How Does Your Letter Of Acceptance Look like And The Same Thing For The Rejection Letter.

Do they even give out rejection letters? I know Berkeley doesn't. The acceptance letter is a big packet, so you'll know if you got in. I like the one from UCSD though: "Congratulations, its the BIG packet" xD

Acceptances are in 8x11 envelopes. Quite noticeable. UCLA gave out a nice looking folder along with it. Berkeley's was quite plain, just a letter(colorful envelope though). Best one for me was UCI regent's and USC, very nicely decorated certificate folder thing. Probably because they were my first ones.

Do you Have To Type Like This?

why are you worrying about this before apps are even due....

MAYBE HE WROTE IN CAPS.

The message above was written in caps.

EDIT: Wow. I remember whenever I wrote in caps, these board would edit it to write like the OP.

ok moldau what the hell is your problem, you always have to dissent with alot of posts. why is that?

You open the webpage after logging in with your UC ID or whatever it's called. It has a banner either with "Congratulations" or some scenic image of UCLA. After that, it's like congrats, you were one out of some thousands who were accepted. Here's what you do next. And then it's signed by the director of admissions.

Warned for flaming...

never saw a rejection letter, the actual acceptance letter was a disappointment after seeing the online one. it came in a super cute folder and my mom flipped out. what really got me was that i talked about color guard/ marching band as my fav activity ever and how much i loved it in my personal statement and my letter online had a picture of marching band people ^_^ i like to think it was specially for me but i'm sure it wasn't hahaha

I got the marching band one too...but I wrote about band as well. I thought I was special about that too.

i hear that rejection letter is online as if you're logging into the acceptance letter online.

my ucsd rejection letter was a regular mail, berkeley and UCLA give out folders that looked kinda cool, plus UCLA give us a bumper sticker :)

I didn't get a bumper sticker. I feel cheated.

You can have mine :p

Don't you guys get the online decision way earlier than the mail decision anyway? So you would know when you get the email whether you got rejected or accepted.

yes. 10char

I wish colleges sent out rejection e-mails and the mail was an acceptance letter. That would be awesome...

the acceptance mail didn't come for like 2 weeks after the decision posted online, and the rejection letter didn't come until like a month later...

rejection letter is a regular sized letter and the acceptance letter is the big package

how would i know what rejection letters look like? ...don't ask

I remember back in high school my counselors told me that they wouldn't do the whole big package/regular letter thing... they lied.
