<p>When does UT Austin usually send out acceptance letters in the mail? I applied about a week ago so I'm wondering when to expect a letter.</p>

<p>Last year the people who applied early in the application process all found out around Oct. 1st. It takes a while for the first wave of applications. Later in the fall, you might find out in a week - but at the beginning it takes longer. So I wouldn’t start getting nervous just yet…you’ve still probably got a month to go before you hear anything.</p>
<p>P.S. If you are concerned about what dorm you will be in, make sure you pay the $50 housing application fee and get your place in line.</p>
