Who knows the acceptance rate for international student, please help?

It depends on how you define "international", and can vary greatly from year to year and country to country. Overall, its not markedly different.

Together, foreign citizens, U.S. duals, and U.S. permanent residents comprise 19.2 percent of the Class of 2010, compared to 16.9 percent last year. A total of 79 countries are represented in the Class of 2010.

Loowwwwwwww

if I have studied highschool in US,but I am not a citizen or permanent resident, and I want to apply to Harvard, would I be considered international student?

Probably. How long you been studying in the US?

I think being an international is actually a good thing, despite the statistics. Just play up your international....ism, how you've got a broader, global perspective etc.

What country you from anyway?

Kle: No. You will be in the subcommittee that your high school is part of.

Seriously? What if you transferred in the last year of high school? Would you be counted as a domestic?

Again, Harvard is need-blind for ALL students. Harvard divides up subcommittees based on the high school's location. Therefore, if you were a U.S. Citizen applying from a foreign country, you would be in the international subcommittee. In addition, admissions officers do not know of your status until the financial aid awards are formulated and they see if you are an international or not.

I am from Vietnam anyway the Ace.. are u from Shanghai? Ni Hao Ma?
Thanks xjay :)

Ni hao ni hao! Yeah I live in Shanghai, half-breed Chinese.

Being from Vietnam is probably a good thing for Harvard. I doubt they get many applications? Or do they.. either way education system there is supposedly rather good, and Vietnam is one of those up and coming places so my guess is they'll like that.

I am in Vietnam now for the vacation, and I have heard and realized that there are so many students here applying to Harvard the same time as I will. Oh yeah, what a competitive process!
