Acceptance Rates for LACs

<p>Following is the data from USNWR and collegeboard.com for acceptance rates for Fall, 2005 and Fall, 2006. For the 21 colleges listed, 18 saw their acceptance rates fall or stay the same. </p>

<p>This pattern likely continued for the class entering Fall, 2007 which was reputed to be the most competitive ever. If you have the acceptance for any of these colleges for Fall, 2007, please post. Thanks.</p>

<p>it would also be interesting to do the same for yields this year, an indicator of how far down the admit rate will go next year.</p>

<p>I know CMC and Pomona both dropped to about 16% for 2007.</p>

<p>If others could fill in their schools for what the rates were for Fall, 2007, that would be really helpful. Here is the beginning with Pomona and CMC added in. </p>

<p>These numbers are by no means final. Williams and Bowdoin both went to their waitlists this year, so Williams' acceptance rate will be at least 18%, and Bowdoin's will probably hit 20%.</p>

<p>Well, that depends, doesn't it? If Williams' acceptance rate is 17.4%, then taking a few people from the list will raise the acceptance rate to 17.5%, which would be reported on the CDS as 18% (using rounding conventions).</p>

<p>And from what I gather, Williams and Bowdoin took a lot more than 4/5 people from their wait lists.</p>
