Acceptance to Stanford/Harvard - 800s in all subject tests

I've secured 800s in all subject tests that I have taken so far ( math, Physics, and Chemistry ). I have a strong GPA and reasonably good extra curriculars - national level awards, music, sports, and community service. My summers have been filled with things that I have been passionate about as well. I'm sure I will get good recommendations from my teachers.

What are my chances of getting into Harvard and Stanford ? I haven't taken SAT 1 yet.

Sounds like you have a decent shot. Assuming a very strong SAT, maybe 20%? National level awards are all that really matter here- a strong GPA and high subject test scores are very common for applicants to these schools.

All that’s really important is that you HAVE a shot. After that, there’s not much anyone can say about your chances, unless you have done something really incredible.

About 6% to H and about 7% to S

Does Harvard require an SAT subject test in foreign language ? Rather, would it help to take an SAT subject test in foreign language ?

Thanks Pancaked and T26E4.

"Rather, would it help to take an SAT subject test in foreign language ? "

It WOULD help to take subject tests in some of the Humanaties- all you have right now is STEM tests.
have you taken APUSH? The US History test should be a snap. What about APLang or AP LIT? then take the English language test. And if you have take an AP foreign language class, then yes, take the foreign language [ non listening] subject test as well.

No AP Lang, But I have APUSH. Are you saying that it is hard ? Also, I don’t have AP Spanish, but have Spanish 3 honors, so are you suggesting that I take SAT Spanish ( non listening ) ? Please confirm.

If you took APUSH this year, and took the AP test, then the US History subject should be relatively easy for you, as there is a lot of cross over in material.
If you took APUSH last year , then review the material with a Collegeboard Subject test prep book and then take the test .
I would NOT recommend Spanish FL subject test until you have taken Spanish 4 or AP Spanish. And there are 2 test options- one with a listening component, one without. Do NOT take the Listening Spanish test if Spanish is NOT your native language.

It will help your “chances” if you can show breadth and strength with great test scores in subject areas other than just STEM.
Top colleges have to choose who to reject more than who to accept, as there are 10X’s as many “qualified” applicants as openings. Give the admissions reps more reasons to put your app in the admit pile, by showing that you can well in other areas beyond math and science.
