<p>No...if I'm correct a deferral means that they haven't made their decisions yet and that they're waiting to see other applicants before they make a decision to accept, reject, or wait list.</p>
<p>I do find it odd that PSU just doesn't have a common notification date of April 1st, like other schools. Seems like a waste of mail and time to send out so many deferrals. I mean it's annoying for the student to have to wait, but I'd rather know when I'm getting a decision than getting my hopes dashed or lifted when I recieve a letter indicating that I'm deferred.</p>

Congrats B-W kids... I go there now and it's a great program/conservatory.</p>
<p>I just want to say thank you to everyone for the nice comments and yes, there is hope! Sometimes it is hard to see that though when the rejections just keep pouring in. They do say though that everything happens for a reason and we do have a few more letters to get but we are so very thankful that Boston found something in her that the first 4 didn't. </p>
<p>And, I just wanted to post this too because it is a popular question. BOCO sent my daughter an e-mail. They actually said they have 3 more audition days left but stated they are accepting her early entry for whatever reason, I do not know but we are grateful that they did. </p>
<p>I hope this helps everyone and remember to keep the faith. I am rooting for all of you and thank you for being so supportive of us.</p>
<p>Also, I forgot to mention that she might know some of you from the Sunday, February 18th auditions at Boston. I know she met a few of you and really enjoyed the company. Anyway, I thought I would let you know the date she had her audition.</p>
<p>Cindy, you are right....people need to hold out with hope and not conclude based on some rejections so far that they won't get into any schools. I know someone at BOCO who was rejected at every other BFA school on her long list. You can only attend one school after all. Hopefully, most people have a balanced well thought out list that should yield them at least ONE admit. You can only attend one anyway. The odds with such selective schools are that most will be rejected to more than they get into. It goes with the territory and should be expected from the outset. If it turns out more favorably, great. But the odds are such that there would be more rejections than admissions on your list if you are mostly applying to such selective institutions. Hopefully, most applicants have balanced their list to increase the odds of being admitted some place.</p>

<p>Our son has been accepted at CCM, Suny Purchase, and NCArts all for lighting design/technical theatre. Of all the boards this one has been the most helpful with our search. He couldn't be happier.</p>
<p>ok, here's the deal with BoCo since I called and asked:</p>
<p>They let 20 kids know (about 2%) know early their acceptance because they were "special cases." The other 98% of applicants will find out on March 23rd. They were extremely nice and told us who haven't heard not to worry, and that only these 20 kids (all programs, not just MT) were told early for one reason or another!</p>

<p>Since Melsmom noticed my post about my daughter's acceptance to Penn State for MT and added it to the acceptances list, I guess I'll jump in with my daughter's other acceptances. She was also accepted after the November audition at Baldwin Wallace and in December to Point Park. We are waiting for several other decisions...like everyone else on this board! I don't know how to add to the list, but I'm sure Melsmom or CAGriffin will help me out.</p>
