<p>Congratulations Kaylagurl and mizlyn's D!!!!!! Getting onto the Otterbein waitlist is quite an acheivement. My S is a freshman MT at Otterbein this year. Otterbein only puts a small number of kids on the waitlist. Don't quote me on this (and maybe Dr. John can confirm?) but I believe there's only 1 or 2 kids waitlisted for each slot. Last year quite a few of the MT kids got off the waitlist list and are now freshmen there. It could be the same for the BFA Acting but I don't know for sure. BTW Mizly was your D waitlisted for MT, Acting, or Theatre?</p>
<p>2BRN2B - it is likely our kids will get to know each other next year if your daughter is in any of the advanced dance classes. Can I assume from your post that she has decided to go to Otterbein?</p>
<p>Thank you kindly, MTaussie! My D is waitlisted for the MT program. She didn't think the audition was one of her best, so she's very surprised, and happy.
Frankly, I'm glad she is not competing with Kayla for exactly the same slot, since I really want Kayla to get in!</p>
<p>I was just waitlisted for Syracuse's Musical Theatre program. Although I really obviously would have preferred an acceptance, I can't say I'm dissapointed with being waitlisted- definitely better than being rejected and you never know what might happen!</p>
<p>Yay for lttlemtg! You're right you never know ... but just in case I'll get the guest room ready for next fall for any homesick nights!</p>

<p>I have a question regarding the MT program at UMich. I auditioned February 6th at Unifides in Chicago and still have yet to hear from them. I know of some people who have gotten rejection letters/e-mails just a few weeks after so I am thinking that this is a good thing, but I have no idea. I checked my application status the other day and they said they had made a decision and I will be receiving official written notification within 2 weeks. Is this a good thing?</p>
<p>WOW! Congratulations to all those receiving great news in the last couple of days! My d is waiting for her letter from Otterbein. LOL, I think my mailman is evil! ;) She's taking it all in stride but it's killing me!</p>
