Congratulations! That's magnificent!!!!!

I just found out that I have been accepted to Clark University for a B.A. in theatre (non-audition). While this isn't my top choice, I am very glad to have something to fall back on and relieved that I got in somewhere! It does look like a pretty good program though.

Congratulations to everyone else too!

Congrats to BreathEasy's son and to all the kids on this growing list! Best of luck to everyone in their upcoming auditions

Our son just wrote that another student just got a call from UMich! Not he; but he's happy for all of them and all of you posting here! Congratulations!

I applied to three schools, was accepted to all three, and I have officially decided to attend Cal State Fullerton next year!

Congratulations, Class of 2007!

wow congrats Estrella- nice to have the decision made too!

I'm getting nervous for my daughter. The sad/ridiculous part is, she has only been on 2 of her 7 auditions. But so many of her classmates not in musical theater have been accepted places already.

I feel the same way for my s. He has auditioned for three places, been rejected by one and has five auditions to go -- but two are real long shots.

I wish I were already a senior!

Jessica....savor the time before auditions and applications!!

Jessica1289,

Don't wish your life away. It will come much faster then you think. Also, now that you know how difficult getting into the school of your choice might be, you have a whole year to work on those things that you feel aren't quite what they need to be. Just continue to work hard!

I know it seems exciting and even though it's stressful and the rejections are no fun, it is still exciting. What you can do however is look at the application deadlines, what types of essays, what type of grades, SAT scores, etc. the schools average right now and start making lists. That way, you can kind of get started over the summer with the application type process and your grades will be where they need to be.

Remember to schedule your auditions as soon as they allow you to because you will then get your selected dates and also remember there are a few schools that you MUST have your application in before they will set you an appointment so get those apps done first. I think CMU, BOCO,? were two of them. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, it's been awhile since that part was completed.

Anyway, I hope this kind of helps you. You are already better off then a lot of kids that have never even seen this website and have no idea the reality of getting into a MT program.

I'll be anxious to check up with you next year! Good luck Jessica!

My daughter was excited to hear that she was accepted into Indiana Univ. new BFA MT program. Has anyone else heard from them also.

That's great DramaMama1! Your daughter's the first I've heard of and you'll have to be the #1 reporter now for the school back here at CC!!

My dd has been accepted to Catawba (non audition program) and Otterbein (academic, auditioning in March)

My D has been accepted into the University of Michigan MT program. Will try to figure out how to add her to the list in my next post......!
