how are your grades and SATs? He is hoping for Eli lilly but...can't be sure of anything

I have known many kids that have went there and they either co-oped or interned to help pay...

Also from TN here, but I haven't made a decision about Rose yet. Its main strike against it is its location really (besides cost and staunch merit aid). Its nice to have an acceptance in hand this early, though.

Congrads to those that were accepted.....you are going to love Rose. My DD goes there and loves it.

As a parent, it is a wonderful school.

Would you mind me asking, what kind of merit aid did she receive with what stats? PM if you think its appropriate! Thanks,
bperboy

has anyone here not been accepted in Rose? Just wondering if they take the 1st 400 or how it is done?

They accept many more than the class of 400. Those are just the people that actually attend. ~3000 Applied last year, I think around 2000 got accepted, but only 400 attended. Rough numbers but there you go. :)

my son recieved his letter today. His classmate also got in but on his letter they told him to retake SAT's for a better scholarship?
I guess my son's were high enough because they did not say that in his letter???
what did everyone else's say?

Just wondering what % of Val. #1 in their class go to Rose each year? I know their is 15% that is in the top 3... what about top 1?

Cheez:

On behalf of the parents of S's, we employ upon you and your daughter to find females to apply to this diamond in the rough, and at least make the ratio more like 2:1 as opposed to classic tech school 3:1. Please!!! Help!!!

I'm going to be sending in my application next week and hope for the best. I'm a bit nervous about applying - though I'm sure everyone is when they apply to just about any school. I'm sure my GPA is not the strongest of their applicants, but I have a very intensive course load that I hope balances my transcript out.

Good luck to everyone else who is applying.

My son's friends grades were not real strong and SAT's fair and he got in!
so good luck! I am sure you will do fine

Father of the Boader.....

There are 3 schools in Terre Haute 1) Rose -over 20% girls 2)Indiana State (with girls) 3) St Mary's of the Woods (all girls school)

So the way I hear it....there are plenty of girls.

my son is in too

I got accepted today!!!!! YEEHAW

How long did some of you guys have to wait for a response? The full three weeks?

The admissions office received my FULL application on October 15. I received a letter on the 27. That's less than three weeks!

Thanks, was curious about how long it would take to hear back from them.

less than 2 weeks for my son's

I applied october 1, got accepted today. Pretty exciting, but I'm going to hold out on some of my other top choices. Definitely takes some stress off the college process.
Really the only thing I don't like is that it's not in the best location in the world and the lack of women (but its like that at nearly any tech school).
