Sorry MontclairMTkid91 but thank you so much for sharing. Good luck!

Has anyone else received a rejection letter? My D has not heard yet and we are in CA. I am assuming at this point it will be a rejection, but she has not received anything yet.

Thanks!

I haven’t received anything either, I’m also assuming rejection. I live in NJ. Hartt is the last school I’m waiting to hear from, I can’t take waiting anymore at this point! I will probably call or email soon.

It seems the schools that wait so long to send their decisions really put themselves at a disadvantage in competing for kids that get multiple offers. Our daughter has not heard from Hartt yet, but has four nice acceptances in hand. The acceptances have generated lots of buzz and research, and even if Hartt comes in as an acceptance it is very unlikely she will go there.

Please note that we are still processing decisions and all letters will be mailed from the University of Hartford’s Office of Admission. The last batch will be mailed no later than tomorrow (Friday, April 2). Good Luck!

Hartt Admissions - Thank you for the update. We have our fingers crossed!

My daughter received her acceptance a few weeks back and it was bittersweet. She was excited about the possibility of attending Hartt. Unfortunately, I don’t think we can even consider it, as the scholarship/financial aid package she received was very small, especially compared to the other schools. She’s still waiting for one more…

We are in the same boat!!! My son LOVES Hartt, but no mention of a scholarship in his acceptance letter. Still waiting for the final aid package. How long after your acceptance did you get your financial aid info?

Purple9, the admissions letter mentioned the talent scholarship in it. We haven’t actually received a financial aid letter yet. But I called the financial aid office to ask about it, and they told me over the phone that she would be receiving the talent scholarship (which we already knew about) plus a small loan.

purple9- unfortunately if you don’t receive talent money Hartt students aren’t elgible for any merit money even if there high school stats qualify them for the top merit scholarship. It is one of the few schools that does that. The only other finaid money would be need based loans from your FAFSA information.

Purple9- Adding on Pohsmom’s post: I believe there are also workstudy programs and jobs available and are going to be distributed by the Financial Aid office, I know this is something I am hoping for.

Im going :]
No talent scholarship though. But i’m keeping my hopes up and applying to as many outside scholarships as possible!

Still nothing yet this week. Has anyone received an acceptance or rejection letter since they said all were sent out on 4/2?

Dear Showmom858,
We finally got a letter (rejection) on Monday 4/5/2010. We live in Iowa. Hope that helps.

elleleegreen - Sorry about the rejection, but thank you for letting me know the timing of the letter. D will hopefully hear something by the end of this week.

Got the letter (finally!) on Monday 4/5. Accepted with a pretty nice scholarship. I really like Hartt, but I’d made a final decision before I got the letter, so I won’t be going.

dancerr625 - what part of the country are you located in? D called the school yesterday and left a message and no one has called her back yet. She still has not received anything from them as of today.
