Accepted and attending????

Who's in? Who will be at Frosh Week McGill Class of '11?

probably me
but i'm still waiting on NYU
if i get in i'm not sure what i'll choose. what would you do?

I would pick the school that gave me the best financial aid package.

Both will suck equally in that respect... Montreal has a way way lower coast of living, though.

My son is going to be there.Into Science, still waiting for music. We visited last year during Frosh weekend. Very Interesting. I am an alum from the 70's. It was an incredible experience then

i'd probably be there...having a hard time deciding between uofT and mcgill though!!!

I will most likely be there as well. I still am waiting for my Georgetown letter though!

coffeetoffee646, if you plan to work or go to grad school in the U.S, going to NYU is probably the better choice.

Question-I'm really NOT a drinker, and I know that if I get accepted there and go, alcohol would be like air practically for most. Is that a bad thing or will i just be a painful minority in that sense?

I'm not a drinker/partier either but that's what's great about being next to a city. If McGill were rural, you and I would be f***ed, but since it's metropolitan, we can just go out and make our own fun (it is in one of the most vibrant cities in N. America). If worst comes to worst, though, you can always just hang out with your friends if theyre a wee bit sloshed/trashed/faded (what have you). Some people can be chill to hang out with at parties...

haha! Well, if you and I end up at MCGill, I at least found someone who is similar to me in that sense :P

i dunno...i havnt decided yet...it's either mcgill or cornell

^cornell without a question. i believe this debate has been abused to death.

p.s. I just forked over my 200 CAD today. I will for SURE be at frosh week.

Got in, and going. Payed the 200 too, I'll see you all at frosh!

ok Student1 I know u dont like mcgill but there are more things than simply prestige to consider when choosing a college

yeah, I can pick at McGill in a self-depricating manner (and as ICrisis noted, I'm an American a-hole, so there's a bias) but Student1 has not right to sabotage the rep. of the school. BTW, for grad school, McGill is at least, and in many cases, more respected than NYU. Kids who get 3.7's at McGill often end up as rhodes scholars at Oxford. A 3.7 at NYU means next to nothing. Cornell is better endowed than McGill, no question. But if you plan on grad school, it makes almost no difference. Maybe rocen actually wants to get laid during undergad. You might want to consider it too.

I am deciding between Mcgill and USC for business major. Which one is easier for transfer/business grad?

Accepted and attending. See everyone there!

yo, when's the frosh week?
