Last year one of my friends was accepted at UCLA and UCLA but she was rejected by UCSB. Does anyone else have any other crazy admissions stories to tell?

That is pretty crazy...but I guess it depends on who reads your apps and what the needs of the school are.

The funny thing is, I wonder how this affects someone psychologically.

By that I mean the applicant probably desired UCB and UCLA far more than UCSB...but when UCSB rejected her, I wonder if she somehow felt like she was missing out on something at UCSB...always fun to speculate. ;)

o instead of "at" I meant "by" so it should be "accepted by UCB and UCLA but rejected by UCSB"
I didn't check my grammar before I pressed sent

LOL exilio
My friends are always asking me wether I think they will get in or not to their favorite school. I always tell them how am I supposed to know. If you think about it wether you get in or not depends on whomever reads your app. They might either like you or not. The whole process is kind of subjective. I'm just hoping who ever reads my app will like me. LOL

o crap I meant to say she was accepted at UCLA and UCB.
I did not mean to say UCLA and UCLA.
sorry people for confusing you guys.
i'm just tired

Just say no purplechick. ;)

Kidding.

I understood what you meant..but now I don't. LOL

sorry for the confusion exilio
yeah what you thought I said was what I meant

Damn purplechick...chill. We all make typos.
