I have been accepted to UCD, UCLA and UCSC!

However after viewing the "my admissions" page for UC Davis, I noticed that what they have listed for "credit summary" does not match my in progress classes. They have my IP class load at 18 units and 5 classes, but I am only taking 12 units and 3 classes this semester. The 2 additional courses they have listed were classes that I was thinking I would take but I didn't need them so I did not enroll in them. Once I saw this I freaked out and thought that I must have made a mistake when submitting my Transfer Academic Update (TAU). I went to the "My UC application" site to see what I had submitted. Everything looked as it should on my application. Only the 3 classes I am currently taking are listed as in progress. I originally had the 2 other classes I thought I would be taking on my TAU, however with my final update (submitted on 1/10) I removed these classes from the application. Again when I view what is listed on the UC application only the classes that I am actually taking are listed and everything looks correct, however when I view the credit summary on the UCD website there are additional courses (that I did not take) listed as in progress.

-Does anyone else have this problem?
-Did I screw up? Could this be a glitch in the system?
-Should I go about correcting this by just filling out the standard form, or would it be better to talk to someone on the phone monday morning?
-The only school where I could find the credit summary online was UCD, if they have these 2 extra courses listed should I assume that the rest of the UC's do as well?
-How bad is this? Could my offers be revoked?

I was so excited to get in, but now I am filled with panic!

If you’re taking the exact classes you stated in your TAU, you are not at fault for anything. Just call admissions on Monday and I’m sure they acknowledge their mistake and fix it ASAP.

When did you submit your TAU? To ensure that it was received by admissions it was supposed to have been submitted by the Jan 31st deadline. If you submitted it before then, then it would appear that UC Davis made some error which I doubt they’ll hold you accountable for.

I’m in a similar situation, I ended up taking different classes spring quarter than the ones I said I would take on my UC application and TAG application. I updated my TAU (after the priority date) and contacted all the schools about the changes. However it turns out that the classes I was gong to take are also on my credit summary, but they are “gray”/not transferable (although they should be transferable). Do I need to contact UCD about this?

this happened to me also. I listed an extra class on my TAG agreement & uc application but decided not to take the class. I didn’t include the class on my TAU and submitted it on time but they still have the class listed on my Davis unofficial transcript. weird?

I will call them on monday when their offices are open. I have another bone to pick with them too, they’re expecting me to pay 3,800 out of pocket (while all the other UC’s are giving me financial aid that covers everything!) They only offered me one loan! It is so ridiculous I can’t believe it. my parents only make 18k a year and I have no job and they want me to cough up almost 4k? yeah that’s no going to happen. they need to offer me more loans.

I Have the same problem. Don’t stress about it. I thought about reporting the change under the reporting heading but it states that one you do a change you won’t be able to go back. So i will report all the changes until spring ends. And once i do, under the little comment box I will write something like this

“I dropped ‘this class’ from ‘this semester’ from ‘this college’ the first week of school. Therefore it’s as if I never took this class.” And that’s it… don’t stress

Hello everyone. I seem to be in a sticky situation right now. I recently got admitted into UCLA and UC Davis as a transfer student. However, when I checked my credit summary on my admissions for UC Davis, it says I have 3 courses “in progress”. I remember putting these courses down on my application in November but I changed them during the update (around mid January and before the deadline). On MyAdmissions for UC Davis, it says that these courses are “In Progress” yet they aren’t transferrable when in reality they are transferrable. They aren’t added into my unit total either and the application update shows the courses I’m currently in for Spring 2012 and they match up with my current schedule. I just feel so scared that this may be happening to UCLA also. I worked so hard to get in and now I feel like all of it is in jeopardy. :(

I never even enrolled in the class they have listed. I put it as “planned for spring” on my application but I didn’t list it as “IP” or anything on my TAU, I didn’t list it at all.I thought they would go by our TAU but it seems they’re going by our original applications. I’m not liking the way UCD is doing things.

No. UCLA requests transcripts by June 1 so they check from your transcript. They don’t use the method Davis is using. Obviously it’s a flawed technique which leads to a bunch of errors. No worries for UCLA

@philosoup: Oh, I see. I’m just really scared UCLA admitted me thinking I would complete the classes that show up on the UC Davis credit summary that show IP but don’t show up on my UC Application. Any thoughts?

Same thing happens to me.In my Davis admission it shows the planned courses that I reported before TAU.I think I’ll just update the courses change to the actual courses that I’m now taking. Also I doubt it happens to everyone who has been accepted by UCD!

I updated the classes on my credit summary to “never enrolled” and i called to confirm this and they said it may or may not affect my admission decision. I asked why it would affect it in the first place bc the classes were not transferable, and the admissions personnel just said it may or may not affect my admission again.

UCD also mistakenly labeled me as a commuter on my fin aid awards even though i indicated i was going to live on campus on my FAFSA.

Then , I tried to fill out the housing application and I accidentally picked the apartments instead of residency halls, so I had to cancel my application and now its not available.
